FUDZilla heard mobile versions of ATI's new Radeon HD 3850 and 3870 are expected soon:
Just as Nvidia is planning a mobile G92 version of the Geforce 8800 GT, branded as the 8800M GTX, ATI will introduce its RV670 mobile chip. ATI has a big advantage, as it dissipates less than 80W, at least for the desktop part, but with some optimization and a more modest clock, we might be getting a great mobile GPU at a great price/performance ratio.
Traditionally AMD has to wait for OEMs to change their production cycle and as soon as this happens (in other words, when one of the big OEMs or ODMs (Originl Design Manufacturers)) releases a new machine powered with mobile RV670, AMD will introduce this part.
