Sony Launches 40GB PS3 Officially In India

Atindriya Bose, country manager, Sony Computer Entertainment (SCEI), unveiled today in Mumbai the Playstation 3 (40 GB) for the first time in the Indian market, at a grand expo "Playstation Experience - Entertainment like never before".

Along with PS3 40GB (Priced Rs 24,990), Bose also unveiled Slim and Lite PSP (Playstation Portable) with Video Out facility. SCEI also rolled out an assortment of games including the PSP Spiderman specialty pack at Rs 10,490 with Spiderman games and movies; the Simpsons specialty pack at Rs 9,990 with a new Simpsons game and three new games for PS3. Three more games for PSP are on the anvil.

Talking about the event and the new products, Bose said, "According to the industry reports, gaming is becoming increasingly accepted form of entertainment amongst Indian consumers and society. We perceive this as an ideal time to expose Indian youth to the complete spread of entertainment that is possible with Playstation, the phenomenon that has taken the world by storm. "Playstation Experience - Entertainment like never before" aims to capture the attention of the Indian youth who is modern and gives value to quality entertainment solutions."

At the event, a new game named 'Singstar Bollywood' was also introduced today, which is played at Singstar Center Stage.

An interesting article...now i think it wont be tough for gamers to decide that PS3 is much better than XBOX360 in all ways....PS3 rocks..
