Latest sequel in Call of Duty series branded Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare might be the best game released in November. Judging by the scores all over the Internet Activision's new baby might threaten the "highly praised" hardware-eating Crysis.
Yours truly had high expectations for Activision's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and the game did look good in its early alpha and demo stages. Still, we are surprised to see that game is averaging ratings of 9.5 out of 10 as it is far exceeded our expectations. Activision and Infinity Ward have surely hit the sweet spot with this one.
November belongs to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, at least for now, and we sincerely agree with all those scores. Crytek's Crysis has a tough one to beat, and those hardware requirements might be the bad omen. You can find some of those reviews below.
IGN 9.4 out of 10
GameZone 9.6 out of 10
Gamespot 9.0 out of 10
1UP 9.5 out of 10
GameTrailers 9.5 out of 10
GameTap 9 out of 10

On the avg 9.5/10 issue I guess you just have to consider the personal taste of some of the reviewers. Any FPS lover is surely going to rate this 10/10.
I was only able to get the demo yesterday, and that alone had me hooked for hours. Game play video: http://www.infohole.com/blog/gaming/call-of-duty-4-game-play-video-review
