Geforce 8400GS / D8M pictured

Nvidia is about to launch another 65nm card and you can expect this low-end model to appear soon, maybe even on the 29th, although we can't confirm the exact launch date yet. The second card is called Geforce 8400GS and it's based on D8M / G98 chip.

The new 8400GS card is budget priced and it will replace the current G84 based chip with one based on a 65 nanometer process.

The card supports PCIe 2.0 x16, VGA, HDTV, dual link DVI-I and HDMI via a dongle. The card is 6.6 inches long and the reference card is low profile. It comes with 256MB of low-priced DDR2 memory and it needs less than 30W.
