AMD RS780 IGP Details

AMD RS780 IGP released A11 EVT sample in mid Sep has passed the main test items and it will come into market in next Jan.

It is reported that the A11 has passed 3D Benchmark and DirectX 10 Demo games test, DVI, HDMI, D-sub and Display-Port are carrying out and now the important thing is the drivers.



A11 also passed Hyper-Transport 3.0 test, finished PCI-E Gen 2 authentication, Local Frame Buffer supports DDR2 and DDR3. RS780 IGP will add new UVD (Unified Video Decoder) 2.0 which can 100% CPU off-load. A11 can support H.264 and VC-1 now and MPEG-2 support will be added in A12.

According to AMD new plan RS780 will release A12 in Nov. and mass produce in Dec. It will be released in 2008 Jan and the name is AMD 780G
