Ubisoft Announces Prince Of Persia (4) By End 2008

Ubisoft has announced that a new Prince of Persia is scheduled to release towards the end of 2008 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

This new Prince of Persia marks the debut of the critically acclaimed franchise on next-generation consoles. Developed by Ubisoft’s award winning Montreal studio that brought you Assassin’s Creed™ and the same all-star team that created the previously acclaimed Prince of Persia® Sands of Time trilogy, Prince of Persia is opening a new chapter in the Prince of Persia universe, featuring a new breed of gameplay. The game is poised to rejuvenate the action-adventure genre in addition to introducing a brand-new illustrative art style.

Ubisoft will also release a Prince of Persia game specifically designed for the Nintendo DS™ system, featuring an entirely new storyline and new characters. More details to be unveiled in the future.

Prince Of Persia - New Chapter Added to The Series

The above are in-game screen shots from the forthcoming Prince of Persia 4/0/Ghosts of the Past, currently in development at Ubisoft Montreal.

According to a blog named "Surfer Girl Reviews Star Wars" which claims that a prequel of the popular series of Prince of Persia rumoured Prince of Persia 4 is being prepped to ship in the second half of 2008 for the 360, Wii, PC, and PlayStation 3, and will be subtitled "Ghosts of the Past".It will apparently be the first in a trilogy set before Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, and will forgo "the dark edginess of the last two titles in favor a fantastical cross between The Sands of Time, Ico, and Zelda," according to the blog.
